Union Gospel Mission
This past Saturday, 11 of the youth battled faituge, hunger, lazyness, sore backs and what not to help those who truly are in need. Going down to the Union Gospel Mission, we helped organize and pack Christmas hampers for families who are in need. We entered a room that was almost as messy as my room at home (which means it looked like Godzilla had just ran through there with a Tornado in hand) Amidst the organizational chaos was food, clothing and toys all waiting to be given to a family in need. After splitting up into groups we started packing boxes....4 hours, a sore back, 1 bathroom break, 3 heavy sighs, 2 complaints later we had packed Christmas hampers for over 25 grateful families and organized the chaotic room.
Although there was nothing glamorous or 'fun and entertaining' about the afternoon, the group left satisfied knowing they had made a difference in peoples lives.

"Quick Matt, I'm using this can of spam to distract them from the fact they can see your undies..."

"I hope no one notices that I'm actually reading the latest issue of Star magazine..."

"Please can I gaze into your eyes Bethany...."

"Just keep packing, just keep packing..."
